Can I use my own caterer/vendors or must I use your caterer/vendors?

We take pride in the fact that all of our weddings are completely unique to one another. Couples are allowed to select their own licensed vendors, caterers, rental company, musicians, and style in order to completely customize their event. A list of recommended vendors is available at your tour.

How much will it cost to book for my event?

Do you provide tables and chairs?

The Wedding Barn includes a few furnishings available for your use, but it is intentionally kept as a "blank slate" to allow couples to put their own personal touch on their event. We do have 10 vintage church pews to seat and an eclectic collection of chairs to seat 55 and folding tables for 50, and many occasional tables including a handmade bar and rustic serving table.  Guests should rent tables and chairs above those provided to suit their own unique style and the needs and size of their event.

 

Are there overnight accommodations available?

The Nests BnB has a variety of overnight accommodations, which are frequently rented by the wedding party in order to accommodate out-of-town guests or to provide a common sleeping space for the wedding party. Please take a look at our Bed & Breakfast page to explore our charming BnB spaces. 

 

What's the plan in case of rain?

The Nests has many lovely outdoor spaces, so weather is a natural concern. In even of a light shower, you may choose to slightly delay the start of your ceremony until the rain passes. Inside our Wedding Barn provides a lovely rain venue, as well as a "first choice" location. Our grassy meadows provide a lovely tent location for ceremonies and receptions, regardless of the weather.  

 

What is the maximum number of guests for events?

Our venue is flexible with regards to guest totals. The Wedding Barn comfortably accommodates 175 people for a full meal inside and on our beautiful South Porch. A cocktail reception allows even more flexibility of arrangement and thus a larger guest count. In nice weather, the semicircular pad and southern grassy meadow can allow for additional seating and guests. One lovely aspect of the Nests is that our countryside surroundings can accommodate much larger weddings through the addition of tents.  Any event over 175 will have different price points and policies.  

 

Am I allowed to rent a tent?

Yes, our country property allows many options for tent placement.

 

How and when is the rehearsal scheduled?

Every effort is made to accommodate your rehearsal the day before the wedding. We will talk with you about your one-hour rehearsal at the one month meeting prior to your wedding.

 

How will my guests find The Nests BnB and Events at Holly Grove Farm?

Please see directions from Oxford on the Contact page.  Many guests like to put out signs or balloons for placement at Highway 30 turn to Hopewell Road and the end of our long country driveway to direct your guests.  We have a selection of blackboards for this use if needed.

 

Is the facility handicapped accessible?

The Nests makes every effort to accommodate all needs. The Nest Egg BnB house is  accessible by ramp, has wide doors and hallways and one bathroom has Universal design features. The Wedding Barn features an on-grade, smooth flagstone front walkway which makes vehicle drop off easy and includes handicapped accessible restrooms.
